iRobot Braava Jet M6 Wi-Fi Mop

Has anyone purchased or used this? The nearly 20% one-star ratings on Amazon concern me greatly.

I have had mine for 2 years - I paid $350 for it so this price is outrageous! I use mine pretty regularly and I like it. It’s definitely not for deep cleaning, it literally just sprays and wipes, but it’s great for upkeep. I have to make sure big messes are taken care of before sending the bot (like the occasional fish out of water cat turd that didn’t quite make it into the litter box), but it still is such a time saver. I have Neato botvacs that vacuum my floors and then I’ll run the Braava for a good wipe down of the hard floors. I move the Braava to different sections of my house since I have both carpet and laminate. I love that it’ll be cleaning different areas of the house while I’m doing something else. It sometimes gets stuck on a carpet transition because it turned too wide, and honestly, that’s my only complaint. I have the washable pads that I reuse and just bought a few more because mine are pretty worn, but I still love this little mop after 2 years. And for that price I am so tempted to buy more but I’m actively working on only buying things that I need, and not buying things because of a good price :grimacing:

Bought one for my lovely and Angelic Bride for Mothers Day, as she had mentioned in passing that she would like to check them out. She got it and her response was “Hmmm, thanks?” Thought I was in the dog house for actually listening to her and something that she said she would like to own. Set it up, ran it and she was super happy with it! She thought it did a great job and the fragrance of the floor cleaner was very pleasant.
We use it in conjunction with our iRobot Roomba. I like the fact that I can use the same app for both of them. We have three dogs and a cat and the amount of floor fur is, to say the least, impressive. We run the Roomba vacuum during the day and the mop runs at night. Only drawback that we have had is the the mop has to have at least some room light on in order to navigate properly. Other than that, my lovely and Angelic Bride is happy and I’m still her heroic Husband.

I just bought one and after almost two weeks of trying to get it to work, calling their customer service and rebooting the thing over and over, what it comes down to is this unit isn’t working correctly. It threw more error codes than a relief pitcher. I’m mildly pissed off since this isn’t my first time with robotic cleaning devices, just looks like I got a lemon. I will tell you, you have to let it run during the day so it can see, get things picked up and a few more items I don’t have to do with my Neato vac. So she’s a bit of a princess. One more try and if that one is as difficult as the first one, then I’ll find a company/mop worth my time and money.

Sorry for the problems. Make sure you reach out to customer service.

Use caution if purchasing iRobot. The products themselves are great: High quality, high performing. However, the company itself is distressed.

They lost $145mm last year and it doesn’t look like they’ll be able to stop the hemorrhaging anytime soon. iRobot themselves recently stated there’s “substantial doubt” they’ll continue as a going concern. Amazon abandoned its plan to acquire the company due to regulatory challenges (industry speak for “they too expensive”). Bankruptcy is likely within the next 12 months, creating big questions around their warranty support long-term.

Personally I expect a fire sale to a random company looking to take advantage of their brand name now that Amazon called it off.

I just bought this last week and it already arrived. I was a little skeptical, and had to tell it to map about 5 times before it really got going, but it does well! I’m recommending my family members grab some.

Mine stopped working after 2 years of minimal use. Sensors don’t work as expected, the water sprayer has malfunctioned a couple times which resolved after contacting customer support. It’s just lying in my storage now.
