I have a friend that loves his J7. But the reviews are pretty bad with 18-19% 1 star ratings. Anybody have this and love or hate it?
I have it and love it! I got it with the auto-empty tower and highly recommend it. The battery life is pretty bad (I think it lasts about an hour), but it cleans well, and does pretty well avoiding things like pet waste and cords. It’ll still get stuck on silly things, but overall, I really like it. It’s quieter than the other Roomba models I’ve seen, but the self-empty base sounds like a jet engine taking off
This ad suggests that this is self emptying and even shows the tower in a photo but it’s not listed as a J7 +. I’m assuming that this is just the vacuum and charger without the self emptying feature?
Yup. Discrimination says auto empty but I just received the basic on that needs to be emptied way too often.
SO, JUST FOR CLARITY, NO BASE WITH THIS ROOMBA?
According to @sjswin, you WOULD get a base, but the basic one which doesn’t self empty. You could get a self emptying base from another site, though it would cost additional money.

I haven’t gotten back to the chat since I ordered so I missed the ‘error’ in the product description. Now that I’ve got it set up and spent an hour or more mapping the house I find out that the product I have isn’t what’s described.
So returning for product not matching description is the only option?
Also, I’m not a Roomba specialist so trusted the description and picture. I’m a big Woot fan but this is a big miss.
