Hmmm. Amazon comment:
"This isn’t listed anywhere on Jansport’s site or any seller listings, but this 63L version of the Big Bear is actually a short version of the 78L and 82L packs. I bought this for my 5’8" significant other and it was too short, so I had to return it and go with the 78L.
However, if you desire a short pack, then I have nothing but good things to say. I personally use an older model of the 82L pack and I love it, and the newer version is even better with a sleeping bag zipper and more accessible cargo compartment. "
Bought this bag a while back on woot. It’s great except that it’s made for a kid’s frame. The waist strap only goes down as far as my lower ribs when it’s fully packed. I tried adjusting every strap on the thing, but it’s just too small in the vertical direction. At 6’2", I’m not overly tall either. You’d have to be something like 4’ to 5’ for the waist strap to fit where it’s supposed to.
Like other posters have stated, this is made for a very small torso range. I am average height (5’10") and this pack is VERY uncomfortable when loaded.
