By the way, I am really impressed by how the phrase “sand-free” makes it sound like it does a lot more than it really does, but also technically is not false advertising, since I’m sure they don’t ship any sand with the package.
I honestly thought it meant a beach mat made without sand meaning there are also ones made with sand

Hi there. Not sure why the wristbands thread didn’t get magically created but I made one just now and it’s ready to go.
This does a fairly good job and packs small. It works as a good barrier between my beach towel and the sand, so less sand travels home with me in the car
What material are these made out of?
Couldn’t find this exact one, but plenty of “sand-free beach mats” on the mothership, and they all look almost exactly like this, so I’m guessing they all spew from the same source. I looked at 2, and they both say “Nylon”.
I looked for the item on AliExpress, and this is what I found.
Material: Water Resistant Top (Polyester) & Waterproof Bottom (PVC)
The additional photos make this look like the same material used for a rainfly with corner loops for the pegs.
I’m holding out for the ones made of wool.
