Bought this system here last year. Its been pretty good. Wife wanted to clear out my larger system and go more compact. I like the wireless surround speakers and the sub actually puts out some great bass. Ive been happy with it. Wireless speaker batteries seem to last a long time. They add to the soundbar when connected, but when you remove them to use as surround, you notice a little difference in the center channell sort of lacking. You get used to it.
With all of the wireless connections, i had issues with my speakers popping and cutting out. Turns out they were interfering with my wifi on the upper 5ghz bands. I had a tri-band Netgear Nighthawk with smartconnect on. I tried manually changing between different 5ghz channels on the upper band but they all had interference. A few months ago i switched to a dual band Asus mesh network. It seems to only use the lower 5ghz bands and i havent had any issues. Wifi speeds stay up and no speaker popping/disconnecting.
I had these but just couldn’t use them anymore after I switched to dual-band wifi. Too much chirping. I liked it until then though . . .
From my experience, if you limit the 5ghz channel to the lower channels (36,40,44,48) it doesnt seem to cause any interference. Any of the upper channels on my Netgear router would cause issues. Currently on ch40 with no issues.
My wifi speeds would suffer too, but that went away also. Got 2 Asus routers to use as mesh nodes and couldnt be happier (have to use ISP’s router/gateway).
