If you can find a flip 4, pick it up. When they upgraded to the 5, they added usb-c which is nice. But they took away the aux port. Also, to my ear, the 4 sounds better anyway. Just two-cents from an ex electronics store employee.

Appreciate the input! I purchased a factory refurb Charge 4 (1yr JBL warranty) over the summer as a gift and they are really impressed with it. For awhile I kept getting it confused with the Flip 4, but I got that figured out later.
I’ve been looking for another one to gift. I don’t have the hearing to pick up on audio subtleties like most people. I would have went for this if it wouldn’t have been for your post. Thank you!
