Dang, all of us who bought our sweet Charge 4’s …
which will connect with other JBL’s through Connect+
welp, after some research … it seems they won’t talk to each other…
I’ve searched JBL’s website no joy… and I’ve emailed them (“expect response in 1 business day”)

Only thing I could find was this article, from 11 months ago

The flip 5’s partyboost is not compatible with connect+ or the old connect. Currently only the flip 5 has partyboost. Look up which version the boombox uses and either get a flip 4 (connect+) or flip 3

and doesn’t quite keep up with Charge 4

and the JBL … planned obsolescence … of PartyBoost speaking pairing protocol
won’t talk to your Charge4 or any of the rest…
only connecting with … Flip 5 … or … some future speakers…

I bought this Flip 5 the last time it was offered on June 3rd and received it last Friday. It’s pretty sweet, sounds louder and clearer than I expected. I bought it to go paddle boarding with me on rivers and in the bay. The black color will go first for sure.
