Do these earbuds support aptX LL? If not, what is the measured latency for them? If they do support it, or their latency is 30-34ms, then this is a great deal!
According to this review, they’re AAC and SBC only.
I think they’re the same model and not a “Premium” version of the LIVE 300, but I could be wrong.
From the Q&A on the Amazon listing:
Q: does JBL have wireless headphones for tv
A: Our JBL Live 300 TWS can be paired and connected with any Bluetooth devices for music playback. However, we don’t recommend to use it for media with videos as it may have audio/video delays. We suggest using wired headphones or Bluetooth headphones with aptX codec which our headphones do not have.

Does anyone have these And if so, do you know how they compare to the Amazon echo buds?
Wirecutter said they sound “pretty great” but don’t fit a lot of people, better for large ears (wide base and long tubes), half their panel found them “very uncomfortable”. It’s in the very bottom competition section of The 4 Best Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds of 2023 | Reviews by Wirecutter
There is also Rtings review as well, who thought they were solid, but undistinguished.
The battery life on these are a joke. Sure they’re good for going to the gym, but they’re basically useless in the office with this battery life. The estimated 6 hours is BS and has been measured closer to 4.5h on normal use.
They are great buds. This is a hell of a bargain.
Depends if you want Alexa or not.
I think the $150 list price is a little misleading. They’re $64 & $70 for the black & blue earbuds (respectively) on amazon right now; sold & shipped from amazon.
List price isn’t the same as retail price.
True. That’s why I said “a little”. It’s still the comparative number indicating how good of a deal this is.
It’s a totally fake number dreamt up by the manufacturer.
Um, I was interested in pairing these things to 2 of my phones. I believe that you techies call that “multi-pair.”
Looking at the Woot-Linked full specs, this are what it sayeth:
"Fast Pairing
Thanks to Fast Pair enabled by Google, your JBL LIVE 300TWS are connected to your Android
device the second you take them out of the case. You can also pair multiple devices just by
tapping on the devices’ screen."
That seems to me to mean “multi pair.”
Guess what?
Further, while I am ranting, the Woot tech help page refers one to a DEAD LINK at Woot Forums.
TYVM. As you were.
Bought em. Like em. $40 was a good deal. Good sound. Good fit. Android app controls well.
bad point
Like the Amazon reviews and the YouTube reviews say, the touch gestures on the ears stink. Taps work somewhat, but the volUp or Down and the Ambient / Talkthru gestures don’t really work.
But I’d buy them again. Good for my walking commute.
JBL had some good elements here.
+sound quality for music listening
+default/Custom EQ profiles saved in phone app
But, the negatives render these buds disappointing
-Too big bulky/won’t stay in ear
-Cannot be used when the body is moving
-Gesture sensing is so sensitive that if you move a muscle the things turn off. There are so many gestures that any kind of body movements trigger gesture commands: I.e. scratching your nose, turning head, speaking, moving arm
-Blue tooth range is 0 feet (phone must be in hand/on person in order to maintain connection
-Cannot be used at gym or when engaging in any sport or while walking
Wow. Tell me how I can get 4.5 hours, you lucky bastid!
Getting even less I take it? They are notoriously bad for battery life and the company doesn’t do a good job reflecting that in it’s stats.
