The fan, which can be a bit noisy, pulls the bug down onto the sticky trap. It may not be strong enough or the spacing between the slats might be too small for larger moths. You may want to try something like the Safer Home SH502 which is just a UV light and sticky trap and has worked very well.
On top of the fact that this is “the flavor of the month” product being shoveled by Amazon. Inevitably better and cheaper products will flood the market and these will all end up as ewaste somewhere.
Guess they’re done trying to sell ear wax cameras and moved on to glue traps.

If little fruit flys or gnat’s are what you want this device for. Just take a small cup/glass fill it with apple cider vinegar and put a drop of dawn dish soap in it. Give it a little stir. And wait for the mass drownings. And it keeps working for weeks without any batteries or electricity. Usually one in the kitchen is all you need, but more would just finish the job faster. I put mine in the kitchen window all summer and top it up (or empty) as needed. Very inexpensive and likely already items you have.
