So is this thing squirrel proof at all? Because the last plastic bin I had on my porch the squirrels literally ate.

Very true. They ate through a cardboard milk box we had on the porch. They also ate through some Christmas lights which were thankfully not turned on at the time.

Move over IKEA, as they should take note of how easily this deck box was to put together. I received mine today and put it together in about five minutes. I had read the reviews that the top was not sturdy enough to sit on, so I hesitantly sat on it, and was surprised at the level of sturdiness for a plastic bin like this.
I put mines up today and was pleased with the ease of putting it up. Enjoying so far.
