No thread for the Canadian Kindle offer?
Want to know if itâs the âNo Adsâ version.
Itâs here now. Assume that it will have ads. Most people say theyâre non-intrusive - lock screens, etc.

But if it is the ad-supported version, then it is the same price as the new, full warranty, US version on the mothership.

Whatâs the difference in the Canadian version and Us version, where Iâm in US? Nothing? â except it may be super friendlier.

The listing says:

For $5 more you can get the U.S. version with ads and 4 times the memory (32 GB) on Amazon. For the extra storage, I can live with the ads.

It does. Under the âSpecsâ tab, it mentions the built-in light:

Only the one I got doesnât have it. Screen seems quite dim without it. Worked with amazon.ca for over and hour, and they decided it was a glitch with this particular paperwhite. They were going to send me a replacement, but canât ship to US. Heading back to woot today!
Iâm sorry that happened to you. I thought you were just asking whether it had it, not that you had received a unit without it. I apologize.
