This thing is 30 bucks on amazon where are you getting 70?
have used 3 of these…the gears are plastic in it and strip after 3 months of use
I wish I was that happy opening cans
One of my biggest regrets in life was purchasing this can opener.
Not really, but it sure is awful. It doesn’t actually open most cans. Underpowered and cheaply made. It does make funny sounds and clicks a lot, if that’s your thing though.
But then, you have to find a can opener that opens cans…
That’s not her happy face it’s her I’m crazy face. See she uses this to open the cans that have a lid with the pull ring too. That’s crazy I tell you
I’ve got to disagree with most of the comments here. I bought one of these on March 15th from Amazon and I’ve opened 6-8 22oz cans of dog food with it every single day since. (I run a dog rescue) So far it’s never let me down, and I love being able to pull it off of one can and set it down on the next while I’m scooping the first one into dog food bowls. It saves me a lot of time and I don’t have to stand there opening cans. The only downside I’ve seen so far is that I am on the back side of the second set of batteries. I’m going to switch to rechargeables to resolve that.
I actually do use a can opener to open pull tab cans. Our cat food cans have pull tabs, but I found that if I use the “smooth edge” can opener, the lid can double as a… well, a lid For when we put the can back in the refrigerator.
But how would your cat know it’s feeding time?
I think that little effer is psychic. Trust me… he knows! And as soon a s HE starts meowing his fool head off, Dreamsicle outside hears him and starts meowing HER fool head off.
So you’re saying you’re crazy too?
We use those lid covers. Never tried to open any pull top can with a can opener. That sounds just wrong or weird or whatever
I’ve bought a couple of these things from Amazon. First lasted 18 to 24 months. And ate 4 or 5 sets of batteries. Then it started failing to open the cans. Tried a different model, with worse result: Lasted maybe 2 months. Bought a mini for my daughter. Clicked (gear slipping I’m sure) , but didn’t do anything else.
Frustrated wife bought a counter top model with the blade.
We haven’t officially met, have we? Of COURSE I’m crazy!
We have a couple of those, too, but they only work on the normal sized cans. For the small, spoiled-brat-cat can…
So… what do you do if you are trying to open a pull top can and the tab breaks off?
This will give you an idea what to look for. The ones I ordered back in 2018 are no long sold but these are similar.
Oh… so one lid fits multiple size cans! Cool. Mine are plastic. Silicone might be nice… I’ll have to see what I can find.
Why thank you. Who needs AI when I have Narfcake!?
I figured to go by the lowest priced offerings; if they work out, then consider getting more.
On a different paw, there were two days this month in which I didn’t have any Amazon deliveries.
I’ve gone through 3 of them in 2 years.
They work till they don’t, which is when the clicking gets louder.
The last one seemed to get out of adjustment as it kept stalling or walking up off the cans.
They are not worth $10 much less the current price.
