I got my wife one of these for her birthday last year. She uses the roller to roll out cookie dough for these cookies she makes that use thin roller dough wrapped around filling. the roller works really great. Also it does a great job rolling pasta.

I just bought mine on sale for 159.99 and now Woot is all here… tempted to return the ones I have and get this as it is still a decent savings if for non-refurbished.

Woot is selling the KSMPRA, the one you posted is KPRA…the difference is apparently that the KSMPRA (Woot) does not have any plastic parts, whereas KPRA (Amazon) does.

Thanks for this clarification! I apparently have the KPRA model, it has white plastic on the rollers. I’ve had mine for ~5-6 years and the plastic is starting to crack and fall apart, which is a bummer because these things are expensive (I know my set was over $200 when I got it). All metal might push me over the edge.

Ok, so I bought my Kitchen Aide mixer on Woot say two years ago, and it was one of the ones that was sold by Costco or Walmart or some other retailer. The word on the street…well, the thread that day was that ‘regular’ attachments wouldn’t work with it. I really, really want this attachment, but I’m concerned that it won’t work. I’d give you my money right now if I knew it worked!

I think ALL kitchenaid mixers use the same attachments.

I have this exact set and it’s freaking awesome! I would recommend also getting the cutter/roller/thingy and wood dryer as well. The standard recipe for delicious pasta comes with the set.
