I have one of these 6qt Pro lifters that I picked up used, but looking as new, at the flea market last year. So far, it appears to be a big improvement over my old KA-5 lifter in strength and capacity. The soft-start feature reduces the likelihood of dry ingredient additions from jumping out of the bowl. I haven’t kneaded dough with it yet, since I use a bread machine for that, but I should give it a try to compare.
Now Woot, find a good assortment of KitchenAid accessories to offer us.
Just picked one up in the Sugar Pearl color. I’ve been using my mom’s old rival chef select, so I’m totally positive this will be an upgrade.
Picked one of these up off Woot a few weeks ago. First, not sure what the deal was with Fulfillment - but I didn’t get a 6 QT model - I got a 7!! Had a sticker on the box, RKP26M1XCA, but in reality, it was pasted over one saying the system was a RKSM7581CA. Wohoo! Has the ceramic coated dough hook and stirrer, which is super easy cleaning.
Have an old stand mixer that was a hand-me-down, and thought that was a great upgrade from a hand mixer, and kneading dough by hand. No, this one blows it away. If you do breads or large batch mixing, this one is amazing.
I bought the silver model a couple months ago and am very pleased. My old Sunbeam finally quit holding the beaters and my hand mixer quit spinning them. Love my replacement and a great deal too. Thanks WOOT!
This mixer is easily the best on the market. I was just laughing with my daughter as we baked on Easter Sunday. I have owned mine for 17 years!!! Still going strong. Have used it for pasta dough (if you have ever tried to make pasta from scratch you’ll appreciate that this mixer can handle it!).
Might buy a second one. Ours is a beautiful blue, but the red offered here would match our kitchen nicely. I could give the old one to my daughter as she moves out this summer!
Maybe I should have gotten the red lol
I picked up one of these off the sale a few weeks ago too. Didn’t get a 7 like one lucky poster, but did get a 600 in great condition. Haven’t had a chance to use it much yet but it seems to work great. I was looking to pick up a 600 refurbished direct from kitchenaid when the sale popped up for $100 cheaper and coming with the same 6 month warrenty that kitchenaid provides with their refurbished mixer.
Mine came with metal attachments. I got the red which is actually really gorgeous, it makes me think of a cars metallic paint job. Now to decide on some decals to slap on it!
I can’t speak for Woot’s specific offering, but I have a 6qt model and it’s absolutely worth the price. Very easy to use and clean, and it’s holding up well after 7 years. My husband has even used it with the pasta attachment to make homemade ravioli and it works perfectly!
If you are serious about homemade quality and monopolizing your precious time in the kitchen then these KitchenAids are yours. Seriously. I have a much, much, much older model and I don’t think I could get by without it.
Mine arrived today. Looks like it is in perfect condition on the appearance. Silver color instead of sugar pearl, which is just fine with me. Taking the bowl off is an adventure
