Wow - I had exactly the opposite experience. I also just bought 2 pairs on Woot! and find the sound to be thin and inconsistent. The chance that I got two lemons seems remote, so I mothballed them. Beware the awesome reviews - there are better earbuds out there even at this discounted price.

it’s the gels for the ears, they are OVAL and they suck. I took a pair of EarPlugs I had from 3M and cut the tips off of 'em and made the Buds come alive…

If they sound thin, and especially if the sound is inconsistent, they aren’t fitting properly. Specifically, if they don’t seal your ear canals they won’t block outside noise well and bass response will suck. Try different sized tips and try rotating the tips- since they are oval there is an optimum angle for them.

Enough of the iCrap. When will you offer the plain ol’ S4s? I had a pair of them a couple years ago and they were great until my cat chewed through the wires. I’d sure like to replace them at a reasonable price…

Seems rather odd that these have been on sale here about a dozen times. I bought them, they are just OK. I guess this is the change to Amazon, just becomes another outlet - and the “closeout” or “special buy” is no longer the rule.

I’m in the same boat with some of the other people responding. I loved my old s4’s. I got these and I don’t know why but i just can’t get the same fit no matter what I do so they sound like crap. If you can somehow get a good fit you’ll love these but anyone that loved the old s4 I would recommend avoiding this.
