What happens if I use this in a sink without an overflow hole?
Will Earth be sucked into a black hole?!?!
Generally, it will likely flood the cabinet any time you run the water.
Im not a plumber, but in layman’s terms, the overflow on the sink, if present, allows basin water to divert past a closed or blocked drain into some passages in the drain body, thus preventing an overflow situation.
The non-overflow sink doesnt account for these diversion passages, which would most likely extend below the sink drain hole. Being left open, when you turn on the tap, water would likely leak out of the exposed passages into the cabinet or onto your floor if your sink did not sit in a cabinet.
