Any good for camping?
Google shopping page gives another image that shows the strainer holes in the lid and the “steaming basket”.
but it looks like that steam basket goes all the way to the bottom…
$34.99 on amazon (with prime shipping option) and the reviews look really good. Another thing I didn’t know I needed and probably will love. Also shows more pictures including the steaming basket. This model has a glass lid.
$35.00 on their website.

I saw the Amazon page too. Silicone handle on the steamer. Good quality steel. Good for veggies, pasta, eggs, and so on… Seems like a good quality and incredibly useful product. I didn’t know I needed this, but I really think that I will use this a lot ![]()
I have 2 of these, the basket has small legs that keep it off the bottom. Works great for steaming or boiling eggs, pasta.
This could be used for camping although it would become blackened over an open fire.
wow, something new I will actually enjoy!! now that’s a good wootoff for me!!!
got one for corn-on-the-cob
I wonder if this will work with my Mr.Beer Kit I bought from woot! a while ago. I believe it will…
When did Hubert J. Farnsworth start writing copy for Home.Woot!?
Got this on a previous woot-off, use it constantly for cooking pasta. It’s great
Darn you wooters! You snapped up all the green ones while I was reading Amazon reviews! shakes fist settles for red
Good thing they didn’t go red green blue, people would be pissed.
Almost gone – the reds sold out while I was hunting down my credit card, I got to choose yellow or yellow…I chose yellow.
I’ve owned mine for nearly a year and think it’s terrific!
The basket can be used to steam asparagus or seafood, and is great for boiling eggs and corn on the cob. The lid has built-in strainer holes so it’s the pot I grab for pasta. And it has a spout, so makes it easy to pour soup, tea, etc.
And its small size means it never gets crowded out by my big dutch ovens.
All in all, a great “utility” player in my kitchen.
