As kids in school we had numerous field trips to places in Ontario, Canada. So, I don’t know if it was only those of us that grew up in close proximity to the Great Lakes, or if everyone learned a mnemonic to remember the lakes.
Anyhoo, to remember them was:
H (Huron)
O (Ontario)
M (Michigan)
E (Erie)
S (Superior)
So now, the only one I could figure out using the new lake name is:
S (Superior)
H (Huron)
A (America)
M (Michigan)
E (Erie)

S.H.A.M.E. is a very appropriate response as a responsible, caring human and supporter of American values. I can only hope that we turn the page in 2029 and start to restore our position in the world community.
