I would not consider a 3" x 5" photo to be “large” and don’t think you would either. So it also goes for cellulose sponges. But apparently a sponge 3" x 5" (as these are) though barely bigger than the standard sponges (2.7" x 4.4") sold everywhere, qualifies as large. I guess it fits in a world where the “half gallon size” carton of ice cream is only 48 ounces, and the pasta sauces that were all 32 oz. quarts in our youth, shrank first to 28 and now 24 ounces, purportedly to “keep prices low” but the now 24 ounce jars sell for $2 - $3 (and more) when the ads I happened to save from 2019 are all in the $1.10 - $1.79 range…
What does that have to do with sponges? Well, when you drop a jar you’ll find you need a whole bunch of these…
