Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great idea and something I might try to replicate myself… but, $11?
And if you’re anything like me, it’ll be 2-3 months before you get around to it.
Uhhhhhh… errrrrrr… maybe just leave the door open to air dry??? Idk… call me crazy… what am I missing here? I’ve never had a problem letting my front loader air dry just by… wait for it… leaving the door open!!! No suction cups or string needed!!! <GASP>
It’s been nearly 2 weeks and I still haven’t gone out to buy string and suction cups.
@ezsee A lot of washers are improperly installed and not perfectly level. The doors tend to swing outward or inward. This helps prevent it from swinging too far out and getting in the way or too far inward, effectively closing the door.
Yes. No one wants to trap an animal or a kid in their washer.
My dryer door swings open blocking the entrance to our kitchen. This solved that problem.
It also reminds my son to keep the washer door open.
So…maybe try adjusting the leveling legs on the machine?
Edit: a washer that is not level can cause other issues like leaking and more wear and tear on the motor and moving parts.
I have a stacked washer and dryer. Not the easiest thing to do. Not saying mine isn’t level or that it’s the only reason someone would need this. Doors swing open. Ghosts? Gravity? Who knows.
Probably an electromagnetic field that is pulling your washer door open.

Gravity is what keeps my washer door shut. Good thing it’s a law.
