It worked exactly as described. It’s a lifesaver for someone like me who works night shift and needs to sleep during the day.

The sound of a fan played through your phone speakers doesnt even come close to cutting it. Your phone just can reproduce the frequencies needed to cancel out noises that might wake you up.
You could use a phone and a bluetooth speaker, but then you’re still playing the recording of a fan through the app.
The lectrofan uses an algorithm that reproduces a fan sound. It doesnt sound like the recording of a fan, it just sounds like a fan.
Nothing else I’ve used has come close to the lectrofan for helping me sleep. It’s just that good.

As others have said, this is FAR better than any fan/white noise app, or telling Google or Alexa to play fan noises.
I have two of these, and I love them. The fan sounds are incredibly authentic, and I think the real difference between this and an app is the speaker size and quality. This produces enough lower, bassy tones, to sound like a real fan.
I love that I don’t need to ask hotels for a fan for my room anymore, and I can bring this anywhere.
I’m pretty sure this device keeps playing endless loops of this band’s song.

What about the noise of an actual fan?
I am the dope? Just bought this yesterday on Amazon at full price. Should I return it, use free Woot shipping and save almost $20
I have used this machine for the last year. It is great! I no longer have to link my phone to an external speaker and worry about making they are both charged up before I go to bed. Great loud sound!
I have both. In the winter I use the Lectro machine, when it’s hot I use a fan. Like all the others saying it, this machine is waaaaay better than an app (I have several of those too). It’s also super reliable, I’ve had mine for over 5 years.
Take it from a restless mind wandering light sleeper, this thing is the best.
I had another style machine that’s similar for eight years that I SWORE by and used it every night consistently. When this popped up for sale I said what the hell let me try it and it’s been fantastic!

I’ve used one of these for about 5 years, and just ordered another from this deal to use outside my son’s room at night. What other people are saying is true – it sounds just like a fan. I’d add that the sound is highly adjustable; you can make it sound like whatever sort of fan you’d find most soothing.
Bought this the last time it was on sale in November. Wife and I are very happy with it. Capable of high volumes, good mix of options, works exactly as well now as it did when we bought it. Even brought it with us when traveling.
The people saying it’s better than a fan/AC/app/whatever are right. It’s particularly good if, like me, your brain keeps trying to find specific loops or patterns (and deviations from same) in whatever you’re listening to while you fall asleep. The noises are steady but non-specific so it doesn’t feel random or repeating.
