Right. Under “Specifications” you give the screen size as 8". After over-and-over describing it as 10.1 inches. Obsess about true details not much?
[MOD: It’s 10"]
Bought one of these new when it came out. It was super useful when paired with a Google Fi data SIM. It can be a little sluggish, due to a lack of enough RAM to be snappy, and the onboard storage is pretty small, so make sure you get a microsd card for it if you want any hefty apps. I used mine mostly for watching videos while travelling.
Bought this used off of fleabay… After setting it up for a family member, I wanted to keep it for myself. Hardware is top notch for the release and still capable by today’s game. Crisp display, great sound and snappy performance. Nicest tablet I’ve used. Remember the external storage (micro SD card) can be formatted as internal storage as of Android 6.0. USB-C just seals the deal.
Came here to say just that but you beat me to it. A 10" I might be interested in but an 8"? Nah…
@lioncow or @ThunderThighs Could you check the specs? Thanks!
It’s 10.1
Yup, it is 10". Updated the specs, appreciate y’all!
Nougut 7.1? Does this kill the deal?
How long will security updates be available?
Is it upgradable past Nougat?
I have the 4G version of this (model TB-X704A) with AT&T branding, and the stock OS is terrible. Lenovo has not updated the OS in a long time. I plan to flash the Lineage OS 17.1 ROM onto this very soon. I do not recommend this tablet unless you are willing and able to reflash the ROM to Lineage OS 16 or 17. The hardware is good, but the stock OS makes it feel sluggish with frequent unresponsive periods in the Android GUI.
The Antutu score of 62,000 suggests it is (surprisingly?) sluggish. Any owners able to comment?
For comparison, most 2020 smartphones are double that and a few, 5 times faster.
Was expecting it to be super slow based on the chatter – uninstalled all the extra stuff and turned off everything that I don’t need – the browser is pretty responsive and the device is much nicer than I expected for the $.
Am glad it suits your needs as that is most important. My 3 year old used phone is 1.5 fold faster based on published benchmarks and resolution is 441 pixels per inch rather than the Lenovo’s 220 pixels per inch.
Have come to want the speed difference for work video conferencing and multitasking. If you read Amazon reviews, quite a few purchasers were concerned about speed and low memory limiting their use. But if it works fine for your needs, great.
