Since these are refurbs, it’s possible but unless explicitly stated, I would NOT count on it.

Ditto.
The M920 SFF is designed to be easily upgradable, and Lenovo provides user and hardware maintenance manuals detailing how to install and replace parts, including the optical drive. The M920 SFF uses a slim-line SATA optical drive, which has a 9.0mm height. The drive connects to the system’s motherboard via a SATA 1.5Gb/s interface.
Of course, an inexpensive external drive is also always a viable and perhaps easier option.
