*PS, I really want to see what’s next.

Man, this is an old computer.

Old, but a good machine for Ubuntu, or so I am told. And “Certified” on the Ubuntu website. In for one.

I just wish I could tell the 2005 version of me that one day, a $280 ThinkPad would be a woot-killer.

It’s a good machine.

I bought one a couple of weeks ago while it was on electronics.woot.com.

Came with a better processor than advertised, and bluetooth, but YMMV.

I’m still using a refurbed ThinkPad T60 I bought in 2011. Reliable and virtually indestructible! I’ve had a few ThinkPads now and I’d be afraid to try anything else! I’ve had a dog get caught by the cord and freak out causing one to fly about 10 ft in the air then hit the ground, a boy who spilled a Coke on one so I unplugged it and took the battery out and ran it under the kitchen faucet, and I’ve thrown one when I looked down to see what the fat squishy thing was I had touched on the keyboard (yes, a big hairy spider!) and they all still worked afterwards! The one I have now- to reseat the hard-drive after being bumped around, you just drop it sideways on the floor!
I’m pretty sure Tonka is on their R&D team!!!
Yes, it’s an older machine. But if you aren’t a gamer or downloading movies for piratage, it’s more than enough!
I bought one.
