Does anyone know if this 16 GB soldered, or 8 GB soldered + an 8 GB stick? Just wondering what the ceiling is for upgrading the RAM.
According to Crucial’s memory configurator it will support a 32gb sodimm in the available slot so the maximum is 40gb (if this is 8+8) or 48 (if this is 16 soldered). Crucial indicates the standard RAM is 8 or 16 non-removable so I would suspect this is 16 soldered with an empty slot.
@cvkealey Hello! There is one 16GB stick soldered on board, and an open slot that can support an additional 16GB slot for a max of 32GB. Thanks!
Great Linux box with 32GB RAM. Of course, with WSL2, you can have both OSes. Good times. Just got this laptop for work (not from Woot - it was company issue), but mine holds 48GB RAM. Great laptop.
My wife loves her T460 or whatever I bought off Woot a few years back…always unfortunate that most of the refurb ThinkPads don’t have the higher res screen options that were offered on these models though

Thanks. I grabbed one of these and (at least the one I received) has 16 GB soldered. Just ordered a 32 GB stick and 2 TB drive. As delivered, it’s a nice upgrade from my previous (Yoga 460). In terms of condition, the screen was a bit smeared, but cleaned up fine. A couple other smudges and light scratches, but very happy with it for the price.
