I have the $$$ Doterra version of this. It works really well, and humidifies the air. But, it must be thoroughly cleaned out after every use, dismantling several parts and then reassembling after washing and drying. Washing and rinsing while the washable parts are together does not work - you will get mold (ask me how I know). So it has been put away in favor of easier-to-clean diffusors, and brought out only when someone has a cold and needs more humidity.
At this price it might be worth the hassle.
