$1,300 for a refurb TV… surely you jest!

This particular model, as well as many of the refurb TV’s here, does not appear to have been sold at Amazon, Walmart, etc. I often have a hard time finding apples-to-apples reviews. There may be a close model, but not the same exact ones.

So, where WERE these things originally sold and why are there apparently a plethora of them that needed refurbishment to be re-sold?
