I checked the LifeVac website. There is no LifeVac kit with model number LVC3002. What’s more, they had a cautionary statement warning people that the ones being sold on Amazon (and presumably WOOT) are not authentic LifeVac kits.

Woot (and Amazon) need to stop selling if true.

I looked on the LifeVac website and couldn’t find anything about Amazon selling counterfeit kits. Also, they don’t show model numbers on the website, so I don’t know how someone could say that they don’t sell this model. I ordered one.
So someone combined this and this and wants to charge that much of a pointless price for it.
According to what I heard on the radio, it does indeed save lives, but I never looked it up to see what it is. Now that I’ve actually seen what it is, I think I can Macgyver my own. My version will have the extra sink-drain-vomit-inducing scent to assist in clearing the issue at hand.
