Linksys Velop Mesh WiFi System

Linksys Velop Mesh WiFi System

Bought this the last time that it was offered and it gave me a quite a bit of issues with staying connected. Eventually returned it to Woot and replaced it with a Deco system that had great reviews on Amazon for the same price.

only one of these needs Ethernet right? the others are all wireless?

correct

got the 3 pack dual band on clearance at walmart for $50 a few weeks ago. works fine so far.

Will this Linksys system work with Google or Samasung Galaxy A11 or Acer Chrome tablet

Do you mean Google the search engine or Google phones? Either way, the answer is probably yes, as it is for your tablets. As long as a device supports 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz WiFi, these should work with them.

If your device supports 802.11ax (WiFi 6), it will work with these, but you won’t see all of the speed that WiFi 6 provides as these are 802.11ac (WiFi 5) devices. The WiFi 6 Velop nodes are horrifically expensive still (almost $400 for one node).

I have a three-node Velop tri-band system and am mostly pleased with it. However, I have a node that keeps going off-line, so I’m thinking of getting one of these to replace it.

However, it appears that the Amazon mothership is also selling the single tri-band node for $95 now ($5.00 more than Woot). It’s not via Prime, and the description is garbage (it talks about a battery and sounds like they’re describing a mounting base for a Velop node), but it appears to be the tri-band Velop itself.
