Would this work with Windows PC also? Would like to use same mouse for both systems. (work / home PC)

Yes, this mouse is a good option for anyone who wants to switch back and forth. There are even options to make Logitech equipment work between a Mac and PC that live side by side, even at the same time - Like you can even have the cursor flow from the Mac screen to the PC.
Obviously it’s less complex to just use it with one system at a time, but the point is that it works well 
I used one of these before switching to the MX Vertical mouse, and I switch between my M1 Mac Studio and a PC.
