Isn’t the point of Wagyu beef to have all the extra fat and marbling to make juicy steaks… whereas with Jerky you want lean meat since the fat will make it rancid? This seems like a waste of good meat, or marketing hype to inflate the price.

Yeah, I don’t understand either. I guess it’s (hopefully) made out of the less fatty parts of the wagyu cattle… but then what makes it better than “normal” cattle jerky.

I agree! Actually, I have already had Tbs best jerky in the world, so why would I bother. It wasn’t cheap, but more than well worth the price of $20.00/pound. FYI, that jerky is only sold at one place in the world. That would be the Deroche Country Store in Deroche, Canada.

Seriously ? $46 for 12oz of jerky. I can get A huge really fine steak cooked for me with all the sides for that. I am a big fan of woot but that is no deal.
Was just about to post the exact same thing. It is a total waste of good meat in my opinion. I’d much rather have it as a steak or even a burger than a piece of jerky.
