This light is horrible. I’ve owned 2. Purchased on Amazon for $25 and then went through one exchange.. Works for the first two runs and then the battery starts to die and the power button stops functioning. Not fun when out on a trail. They need to redesign this with a 3 AAA battery compartment that takes standard batteries as well as those Nitecore/Petzl rechargeable blocks. Form/function was pretty good so if someone gets one of these right, it would be worthwhile to own one. I suspect the reason they are blowing these out is due to current performance issues.
I’m gonna give it a shot just because I need something since the running path here attracts the electric delivery scooters that are completely silent, and those people don’t care if they clip you from behind. At least there’s a reflective strip on this so that even if it fails during a run, there’s some protection. This is the cheapest option by far, and if it lasts even a few dozen runs it might be worth it just to test the item type in my environment. Hopefully lasting only two runs for you was an outlier situation.
