I’ve had a couple of issues now with my designs being pretty messed up when they’re delivered. First, was BECKTOPUS - which wasn’t printed on Navy, but was printed on slate - which makes the color they eliminated (black) show up as gray and lacks the negative space required to work with the hat and guitar. Also they changed my gray layer to black. Now it just looks wrong.

Then, I got my Dragon Rising shirt, and it was printed on the gut, instead of on the chest. I can’t even wear this. It would essentially be a dragon on my belly. Cute if you’re pregnant, not so cute if you’re not. It also appears to be missing the purple layer.
Anyway, I wanted to reach out and get some answers. How is everyone else’s prints coming out lately? I emailed them about this but so far have heard nothing back.
Jennzilla: sorry about the issues with your shirts. I’ve sent an email to the shirt team so they an look into it.

I’ve been having bad luck with prints lately too. Whites are coming out looking gray or transparent and reds look more like a rust color. ![]()
Wow, I’m both annoyed that these printing issues are happening so often, and glad that it’s not just on my orders.
Of the last 5 orders I’ve received, 3 have involved misprints. The errors were:
-
Print in the wrong place (way low, top of the print was 6+ inches from the collar)
-
Missing ink (weird stripe of ink just mysteriously gone, looked like possibly caused by a wrinkle in the shirt)
-
Wrong shirt color (site showed blue, item arrived red)
It’s at the point where I didn’t even bother to report the last one to customer service- Woot’s solution seems to be refunds, which doesn’t help if you’re the artist and paid with a coupon.
So they won’t reprint them? That’s such a bummer.
The first response I get is a refund which doesn’t help because it’s a zero with the coupon. I reply until I get someone who will send me a replacement. I’ve had success with two replacements out of several. Part of the problem is CS doesn’t seem to be reading the messages, they send a canned reply that doesn’t apply to the artist’s situation.

That’s unfortunate. The bigger problem is that all the people who purchased my designs are walking around with a messed up version of them. Or not - because they’re so off that I wouldn’t wear them. A refund doesn’t fix that problem. It sounds like a QA issue. Are they even looking at the comp before shipping these?

I’m so sorry for the experience, guys. I promise this has been in front of Joel’s eyes and it’s being addressed.
Thank you so much! I really hope this gets resolved. On the bright side, my Lonely shirt came out great!
Thanks for looking out! I spoke to Mike and he’s also addressing it. ![]()
