I have many Hitachi/Metabo cordless power tools in both the 18v and 10.2v flavors and can highly recommend them.
Metabo HPT (Hitachi Power Tools) makes a very good tool, and just like nearly every other power tool maker they have a RANGE of tools. The set offered here is their basic line and while it is excellent for DIYers and weekend warriors it will be missing a few features that you may or may not be able to live without. The Metabo/Hitatchi 18v slide batteries are universal so you won’t be missing out in that arena, but these particular tools do not have the digital motor and the drill does not have the all-metal heavy duty chuck. But honestly, for the typical homeowner you will never notice.

The only difference in the links I’ve provided and the one on Woot is one is labeled Hitachi and the other Metabo - otherwise they are the exact same sets with the exact same tools. So it appears that Woot has scored nicely on this one.
Are these brushless? I didn’t see it anywhere in the description or specifications.
I suspect these are being phased out for brushless tools, but still looks like a nice deal.
These are not brushless, which explains the price. For the occasional user this will probably never come into play. Regardless if they are being discontinued, these do use the most recent version of the 18v slide battery so there is no problem with that.
