Can you extend an existing subscription?
That’s my question as well with either the Family or Personal 365, can you extend the subscription you already have?
Ditto - same question on the 18 month sub.
Look on your subscription on your computer, that’s what I’m about to do to see if it says anything. I’m thinking why not if you keep the same log in, stuff should save in the cloud, right?
*** Look!
Yes, this can be used to extend an existing subscription and can be stacked up to 5 times.
What do you mean by stacked?
Hi there!
It means you can apply up to five codes on your account (stack) and it will extend your subscription.
Meaning, if you bought five codes that were 1 year each and applied them to your account – you would effectively have a 5-year subscription.
Awesome, thanks!
Now I’m worried about how it says it’s not comparable with IPad etc. Or is that just to download it. I use Chrome on my windows laptop & sync with my iPad which works w/almost everything.
Will this work?
This sort of Office 365 subscription is the only official Microsoft method of handling Office in iOS and iPadOS, and it works better than most third party apps and services, from my experience.
However, as you mentioned, there are a few points where the mobile apps will differ from desktop. The user interface has been slightly modified, which means that a few options get buried in Word, but they are still there!… Excel is the miraculous one, given how many different ways there are to use it; It retains almost all of the functionality, except for pivot tables, as one example. Otherwise, I am just impressed with it.
My only hesitation is that I’m old-school in the thought process that I should be able to buy the product once, rather than having to pay each year. But that’s just me … If your concern is with functionality on an iPad, you should be reasonably set.
Thanks!
And I agree about having to re-up.
I Guess If I compare it to a magazine subscription that expires every 12, 18 or whatever month, it doesn’t bug me as much. At least there’s deals to be had.
