This doesn’t make sense. The title and subhead both say that it is genuine original Microsoft, but the picture and link for Amazon reviews are obviously for a third party replacement. Which is it?
Yep. Not only does this appear to not be an OEM product, it’s not even a marginally good product. Read some of the reviews. BTW – Walmart sells this thing for $23.99 – it has a single review and it’s a 1.
A little more research shows that Microsoft no longer sells replacement power supplies for the Xbox one. So good luck finding one that isn’t a knockoff claiming to be “OEM”…
Hi there. Sorry for the confusion. Definitely not Microsoft OEM. The title came from the Amazon listing. Sometimes vendors attach different products to existing sales. Makes life fun. (not)
Not directly on-topic, but if you still have one of the original Xbox Ones (the kind that had this external power brick), and it’s still working, I’d recommend trading it in and getting the Xbox One S (or X if you want to pay a bit more for best game performance). The original Xbox One is not really worth keeping and you can get $90-110 trade-in depending on promos at the time, and buy a new one for $199-249 on sales and promos (which will be coming up in the next few months). You also get ability to play 4K UHD discs, and new warranty, and often a bundled in game. And no more need for the big external power brick. And lighter and smaller. And doesn’t look like a 1980s VCR.
