Where do we download this from?
That link is incorrect. That links off to a page where I can download Office applications, Windows 10, and Windows 11. Nowhere on the page does it include instructions on downloading/installing Visual Studio Pro 2022.

Is this license at risk of becoming invalid similar to the windows OS licenses in the past? Ran into the issue with the windows 10 and 11 OS licenses purchased from WOOT in the past. Want to be sure that is not the case with this license.

For those thinking you will get something more with Visual Studio Professional - guess again. Here is the Microsoft comparison between editions: Visual Studio Compare
The only difference I can see between the Community and Professional editions is that you are supposed to buy Professional if it’s used in an “Enterprise organization” (“defined as >250 PCs or > $1 Million US Dollars in annual revenue.”). All the other feature appear identical to me.
Please let me know if I’ve missed something here.
I’ve been using it for a few days. Biggest advantage I’ve noticed so far is debugging. CoPilot is substantially better. I’ve also had more success executing some Tkinter scripts that have been difficult in VS Code.
If you’re just building simple Python or Visual Basic scripts from Chat GPT, free VS Code is really all you need.
