after the battery mishap w/ the other mini chainsaw- I bought one online that had two batteries. Looks very much like this. and the battery worked on the other one! calloo callay what a fraptious day…until- I put oil in the reservoir. That night, it leaked. Everywhere.
will it happen w/ this one? I dunno. But after cleaning up the complete disaster from last time, I only put in as much oil to lubricate it for use that day. I won’t store oil in it. That’s just me. You do you.
Looks to be 18V Makita LXT style of batteries. I much rather these generics go that route as it means some sort of replacement will be available even years from now.
FWIW, 18V, 20V, and 21V power tool battery packs are electrically the same! 3.6V per cell is the nominal, 4.0V per cell is the peak voltage, and 4.2V is right when it’s off the charger. Multiply those numbers by 5, and that’s where 18V, 20V, and 21V come from.
