The problem is the people who *try * to edit out some of the quote, but don’t manage to keep all the tags paired up.

Well, that . . . and the forum software that doesn’t correct, or even check, anything.
I’m pretty sure Woot 1.0 would close any BBCode tags left open.

Has anyone tried this with Time Warner Cable in Houston?

If so, I might consider it… I’ll take one for the team…

Time Warner In Houston has Digital Audio;
If the reciever has a ‘Coaxial Input’ and not an Optical Input then you can use it with TWC’s DVR or digital cable box.

TWC does not have optical outputs on their DVR or DCB’s.

Ok, I’m gonna play stupid here. between little sleep from work (and driving 4 hours back home tonight from Dallas) and the woot off, does this have coaxial imputs?
I just looked at the specs but I didn’t see it. I may have missed it.
If I get it, i have the ceiling mounted speakers I got from here I’m sure I could use, so it would be a fun system to set up.
I’m in serious slo-mo tonight so I’m sorta looking to see if any of my local wooters have bought and set this up successfully…

Look under Descriptions, and it lists both optical and coaxial…

If you’ve got the digital box or DVR from TWC; you’re all set!

right but I thought this would replace the DVR box?
If it’s got coaxial imput wouldn’t that make my DVR un nessisacry? (shoot I cant even spell, lol)

I know what you’re thinking. It does indeed read your so-called “backup” DVDs- first thing I checked with mine.

Since we’re discussing the technical details (“sucks” vs. “rocks”), I wonder if anyone has popped the lid and poked around? It seems astonishingly well (=expensively) built for a mass-market gizmo. Torroidal power transformer! In linear amplifiers, weight is the necessary if seldom sufficient condition for high power (isn’t it amazing how most home theater receivers claim to put out more output power than they consume from the mains? Thank you cold fusion!)
