I estimate about 40 or 50 le. Buy em all
I’m baaaaack! Did y’all miss me?! ![]()
I see I didn’t miss anything. Phew!
Nope; you need the dgital box for the signal to be processed from. Without the box you would have to have a Digital Cable Ready television…
Just keep the box, it’ll be easier to hook up
damnit!!
more quote tags!!
The problem is the people who *try * to edit out some of the quote, but don’t manage to keep all the tags paired up.
Well, that . . . and the forum software that doesn’t correct, or even check, anything.
I’m pretty sure Woot 1.0 would close any BBCode tags left open.yep, I’m really surprised this forum doesn’t check that…I’m guilty of doing it too though..but I go back and correct it.
I did that, too . . . for a while. But last night I just got fed up and whipped up a batch of stuff so egregious that it ATE the ENTIRE page one of the watch topic.
Shortly after which, BigD stepped in and edited my post.
. . . which I’m actually grateful for, since it proves they’re now aware of the depth of the problems. I’m confident it’ll get fixed, but of course have no guess as to when their schedules will permit it.
(and no, for those who might be wondering, I have lived and worked in both Fort Worth and St. Louis, and . . . never again. Visiting is plenty)
Women are things.
um… eh?
Things? Oh no you didn’t…
…and they’re off!
I’ll leave that alone…some people got issues
Ahh…I got my two pages of fun outta that.
Don’t worry, I’m no sexist.
last time I checked a thing was an inanimate object, boy do i feel sorry for you
Ooooh! That was a good one! That’s the kind of thing I was looking for!
Very funny!

OK rev my next woot guess, the blow up doll!
Anyone know for sure if this can handle DVD + or - R recordable discs?
I know what you’re thinking. It does indeed read your so-called “backup” DVDs- first thing I checked with mine.
Since we’re discussing the technical details (“sucks” vs. “rocks”), I wonder if anyone has popped the lid and poked around? It seems astonishingly well (=expensively) built for a mass-market gizmo. Torroidal power transformer! In linear amplifiers, weight is the necessary if seldom sufficient condition for high power (isn’t it amazing how most home theater receivers claim to put out more output power than they consume from the mains? Thank you cold fusion!)
too many big words!!!
not sure if this has been posted before
but here:
they have the pictures of the back of this product as well
might help decisions
Glad you posted this. Either Tiger or w00t is confused about the power (500W vice 100W)
never mind, w00t is using 100W x 5

Down to 15%… we may see another Woot yet…
Has anyone tried this with Time Warner Cable in Houston?
(serious replies only)
If so, I might consider it… I’ll take one for the team…Time Warner In Houston has Digital Audio;
If the reciever has a ‘Coaxial Input’ and not an Optical Input then you can use it with TWC’s DVR or digital cable box.TWC does not have optical outputs on their DVR or DCB’s.
Ok, I’m gonna play stupid here. between little sleep from work (and driving 4 hours back home tonight from Dallas) and the woot off, does this have coaxial imputs?
I just looked at the specs but I didn’t see it. I may have missed it.
If I get it, i have the ceiling mounted speakers I got from here I’m sure I could use, so it would be a fun system to set up.
I’m in serious slo-mo tonight so I’m sorta looking to see if any of my local wooters have bought and set this up successfully…Look under Descriptions, and it lists both optical and coaxial…
If you’ve got the digital box or DVR from TWC; you’re all set!
right but I thought this would replace the DVR box?
If it’s got coaxial imput wouldn’t that make my DVR un nessisacry? (shoot I cant even spell, lol)Nope; you need the dgital box for the signal to be processed from. Without the box you would have to have a Digital Cable Ready television…

Gracias, Amigo!
Normaly I’m fairly adept at figuring this out… between the woot off, work and the Jack Daniels, lol… Well you get the picture.
Thanks again.
Oh, and the bar just dropped a pixel or two ![]()
Well, here I am back again!!
Neighbor came down to bum some Captain Morgan and talk about investments.
I didn’t tell him I want to invest in Woot!!

that’s a noun…
Oh, and the bar just dropped a pixel or two
You are correct. It is down to 14%
If you’re still wondering if you will be able to make digital cable work with this box, as i’ve been doing for the past hour, check out this link. It’s promising. If you’re comcast.
