Wonder how risky a reconditioned watercooled gpu would be. As far as how far/well its been worked on?

If it helps, it has a 180 MSI warranty (it’s factory reconditioned) and you can extend that through Asurion.

(Please note: I don’t work for Woot, I just volunteer to help out here on the forums.)

Dang I wish I checked the daily deals faster :sob:… I would’ve bought this in a heartbeat

Do you happen to know if factory reconditioned means it’s shipped straight from MSI? Thanks for your help!

I’ve purchased a similar refurb card in the past, and often the warranty will indicate that it’s being distributed directly by (or on behalf of) the company warranting the product…

So, my MSI refurb came with the same 180 day MSI warranty, and the packaging was not quite “retail”, but definitely was official MSI branded, just with the “refurbished product” printed directly all over the box.

Similar case when I purchase a refurbished Samsung gaming monitor. The warranty was a six month one (basically the same as the 180 days), but it was provided directly from Samsung. And in that case, they chose to use retail packaging, but with fancy stickers that said “Samsung official refurbished product” to show that it was from the manufacturer, and fully authorized.

It may occasionally be different, but I tend to look to who in providing the warranty as my first question after I see “refurbished” if it’s a big-ticket item. Hope that helps.

If its anything like buying a refurbished AIO CPU cooler, the thought process is that the failure point is likely fixed by a more qualified individual, so they can be even better.
