Why is sales tax being charged? This is a grocery food which is not taxed in my state.

Because the grocery item is being shipped as merchandise to you from a warehouse; and not purchased in your state from a grocer or outlet that sells groceries.

Probably not. I’ve bought plenty of other grocery items from woot and never been charged tax. In fact, bought this same brand of granola three months ago and no tax.
