Slightly worried in New Jersey:
Worry: 1) I never got a confirmation page, but
Don’t Worry: 2) It shows with an order number in My Account
Worry: 3) Account page still reads “your order is in.” after 8 days
Don’t Worry: 4) My credit card was charged
Worry: 5) I REALLY need this adapter, so I’m standing by for a screwin’
Don’t Worry: 6) I was not expecting a two-fer,so gods should smile on me
3 Worries + 3 Don’t Worries = WHERE’S MY WOOT!!!
From woot on 8/23:
These are shipping out today and tomorrow. The 2 pack part was a mistake a taken down after a short time. If you would like to return this because of that mistake you can refuse it when they try to deliver and we will refund you once it gets back here.

Alright, so I did take a poking, I am so disappointed. It said 2 fer, very VERY not cool. On the bright side, at least they got from me what I said I would give to them, my money.
OK picky picky, everything else I purchased on woot has been shipped in 1-2 days max, given none of those items were part of a woot off, but still, they shouldn’t be selling things at a pace they can’t keep up with. That’s not very good business. SooOOooo I’ve waited 7 working days and I just verified my charge card was charged on 8/19/06, and there’s no updated status on my receipt page. No ship status or tracking number…and it hasn’t landed on my doorstep yet.
I’m really happy with all my woot purchases so I’m not trying to bash the wootonian s. I would like a status update, even if its just a “we’re backed up and it’s not shipped yet”
Thursday, August 24, I sent the following text to “service@woot.com” :
- the listing ORIGINALLY said the sale was for a “two-pack.” Now I’m reading in the forums that that was incorrect information and that only one was being offered at that price. Clarification would be appreciated.; 2) the order was accepted on August 17 ( one week ago ) and Woot.com is not showing it has shipped. Any insights as to when the adapters will ship?
Later that same day I received the following reply:
Subj: RE: XXXXXXXX
Date: Thu Aug 24 14:35:22 2006
From: service@woot.com
This is for 1 piece, that bit about the 2 pack was wrong and corrected shrotly after it was put up for sale. They are shipping out tomorrow.

So, I’m still somewhat confused. My receipt looks like this:
You want 1
Netgear 802.11g Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter
which each cost $12.99
for a subtotal of $12.99
plus shipping + $5.00
for a total of $17.99
and the e-mail from Woot says “They are shipping out tomorrow.” “They”? Who is “they”? Anyway, I’m sure hoping I get the original two-pack for the $12.99; if not, I may see about returning them or just the one. My first Woot and it’s a rocky one, for sure.
And, as of 4:30PM CDT, Woot still does not show this item shipped. Sigh…
30 days after cc charge any card company will chargeback the vendor for non-delivery if not received. I’ve no indication that the 3 adapters I ordered were shipped either but the last thing I got came unannounced too.
This is actually my first time buying from woot. While I like the concept and have watched it for some time and truthfully the WootOff is a great marketing idea but, I am concerned with my order being delivered or not. I have read the posts and Database dump or no my CC is charged…
I just received my shipped confirmation, but when I clicked the Fed ex link, it did not find my package. I am assuming that is because it just recently shipped. But receiving the email is hopefully hope for the rest of you.
I also just received my shipping email. It’s probably just a matter of time now, Wooters…
Like several others here, I just received a Fedex tracking number.
ditto here

Me too, however, the e-mail also said, quote, “Your order for 1 Netgear 802.11g Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter on 08/17/2006 has been recently shipped via …” My order was for two, not one, at $12.99, as Woot advertised it. I’ve paid them the $12.99 plus $5.00 for shipping. It’s only fair that Woot ship me what they advertised, regardless of, how did they say it…oh yes, “This is for 1 piece, that bit about the 2 pack was wrong and corrected shrotly after it was put up for sale.” Note the key phrase “it was put up for sale.” I did my part; Woot, please do yours.
I still haven’t received an email saying it was shipped. My account shows its been purchased and my CC has been billed. It would be nice to get an email stating why the delay in shipping.
Now the same tracking number is displayed twice and I’m not sure if that’s good, bad or neither…sigh.
Same situation for me. Shows as purchased on my Woot account, and CC has been billed. Please Woot, send me an email and tell me why I’m being teased?
first woot. pretty fricking amazed at how badly it’s going so far. No, I haven’t emailed customer service, yet. No, no tracking number yet.
not impressed. I suppose I’ll go back to being a watcher, not a wooter.
What the hell is going on with the BOGUS tracking numbers?
And just WHAT is FedEx “SMARTPOST”?
Its bad enough to depend on a service like FEDEX, but now they have a snail mail service too?
It would be a good idea for WooT! to email EVERYONE that ordered these 2 items and resend ACTUAL tracking numbers…
If this WAS indeed shipped on the 17th, then something is TRULY AWRY!
OK.
Here is what I have found out about FedEx SMARTPOST, which is the delivery method that Woot has used for these items, although it may have not been a very SMART idea. Looks like these may take quite awhile to arrive folks, so be prepared for a wait.
