It hasnt been 5 business days, and it really hasnt even been 5 days either. These things popped up at noon and sold out at like 1:30 so they weren’t likely to ship thursday. And woot doesnt ship on weekends so today is really only the third business day.
Yeah, woot, When the whosafudge is this thing going to ship? It’s tiny, it takes a $1 mailer and 5 mins to print out a slip and slap it on there. Sheesh.
Also, does any one know if this works at a WiFi spot like starschmucks? I know < 0 about wireless networking.
It’d be that simple–if you were the only one getting it. I imagine they’ll be on their way by tomorrow…
As to how it works–I haven’t used mine in Starbucks, but it should work just fine. I actually have one of these, but decided that for the price (and the liklihood my dog could turn it into a toy) it would be worth it. I do some work at a stadium and I get a decent signal on the other side of the press room (where the wireless router is).
Woot-off items rarely ship any faster than 5-7 business days. They have a lot of work to do with fulfillment after a Woot-off as packed as what we just saw.
I’ve had a wide range of shipping experiences. For my iRiver T10, it took 5 days from the order date until the product was shipped, and another 6 days to arrival (11 days from order to doorstep). For my external hard drive drive case, it took 2 days from order date to ship date, and another 3 days to arrive (5 days from order to doorstep). In fact, for the case, I got the e-mail with the FedEx tracking number after the package had arrived.
It may have to do with where the product is coming from and which carrier they’re using. The iRiver T10 was delivered via UPS from Stamford, Connecticut and the case came by FedEx from Irving, Texas.
How do I check if my item has shipped? This is my first Woot, and I see my cc has been charged, but my status doesn’t say shipped.

If you click on your order # under “your account” you can check on the status of your order. For example, mine says “your order is in.” When the item is shipped the page will state “your order has been shipped” and you will be provided a tracking number on the same page. Alot of people’s cc have been charged and are yet awaiting any shipment notification, probably due to the large amount of orders from the woot off.
Thanks, that’s what I wanted to know. It says “Your order is in.”, and has been there for about 5 business days. If it takes a while, that’s fine I’m in no rush. If it doesn’t change in about 2 weeks though, I may just cancel it.

i don’t think you’ll have much luck cancelling it. however, the woot-off has really slowed shipping down so we’ll all have to just be patient. if my thing does not ship soon though, i’m gonna be pissed.
See, same here. I may delays are unavoidable, especially for high demand products and espeically if they have high volume of product to move, but if 15 business days, 3 weeks go by without notice… I question to see if I’ll even get my product. Woot is a cool website, and this is my first order, so I’m hesitant. This may just be a fluke, as I’m reading on other posts that this happens occasionally, but is still not very common.
I may just have a high tolerance for such things, but I have never felt that Woot has dragged their feet on shipping any of the orders I’ve placed the past 18 months. If you’re looking for a short interval from ordering to shipping, Woot is not the place to buy. But if you are looking for great buys on unique (and often cool) items, it just can’t be beat, IMHO.
I think the 5-day interval is a standard response they use for all orders. Woot-Offs are obvious exceptions to the rule, and the number they offered on the 17th was pretty big. I would imagine that most of the orders will get shipped today. I think it’s also likely you’ll get an email with the shipping confirmation before it shows up on your Account page. I ordered a different item on the 17th and I got a shipping email last night, but it didn’t show up on the Account page until today.
I bought 2 (thinking of 2-paks, so I am still hoping for 4), it is still on my acct. page as of 8/23, but it has not been shipped yet…been reading everyone’s replies and starting to get a little worried myself. My cc was already charged.
You guys need to chill, it will be all right. Think about how many orders they had to process for the thousands of items they sold this wootoff. Woot are notorious customer service minimalists. Just be patient, and you’ll get your adapter.

Ordered, on the 17th, still no word of shipping by the 25th. What’s the deal? Has the woot-off severely impeded’s woot’s ability to notify its customers?
I’m just curious if anyone HAS gotten a confirmation that their order has been shipped. I’m on the list of those-still-waiting-to-see-if-it-will-actually-be-shipped. I have two charges on my credit card, one from the woot off (which subsequently disappeared from My Account) and one from the special order page.
I wooted 3 of these on 8/17/06, got a receipt, but it STILL has not shipped. What is the deal? the headsets I wooted a few days before that have already come and been used here. I’m getting impatient!!!
Okay, so if I haven’t rec’d that email, what does it mean? It says in my account I have been charged, but not shipped. I know that is was a “single” pack.
I haven’t seen my order shipped yet either, however, an item I ordered the day after (18th) shipped on the 24th. Not sure if they are working backwards or what.
