I’ve had one of these for a few years. No issues with it and excellent wifi range. Highly recommended.
I highly recommend AGAINST buying this router; my experience with it and the corresponding lack of support has turned me off to Netgear forever.
Here’s the issue on Netgear’s support forum; you can see it’s been marked as solved but has continued to be an issue for years without Netgear fixing the firmware: Archived - NETGEAR Communities
They have a firmware on their site for this router that was released 7/28/2020 and all the post in the forum you linked are from 2018. I am not saying this fixed the issue or not but, it might have.
Hmmm, thanks. I bought a different brand router on 7/2/2020 as the issue had not been resolved by any firmware patches up to that point. I’ll plug the old one in and see if the attached devices are still an issue, though unfortunately the problem takes a few days to manifest, so my feedback won’t be helpful for folks in re: this deal.
