Buyer Beware:
The listing states clearly “NETGEAR Nighthawk CM3000 DOCSIS 3.1 Mid/high-Split Cable Modem (Certified Refurbished).” What I received was NOT SEALED as an originally issued “Certified Refurbished.” It was opened by someone else, used, and then returned. I paid over $200 for a Certified Refurbished modem that technically WAS Certified Refurbished, but now, as a returned item, is no longer a Certified Refurbished modem. Was it returned because they didn’t like it, was it defective, or who knows why? Point being, it was only $100 more for a NEW, NON-REFURBISHED item. So this feels like a bait and switch. There was no mention that it could be a returned open-box Certified Refurbished modem, because THAT would not be worth over $200.
Its value would be gauged like this: NEW>REFURBISHED>USED>USED REFURBISHED.
