I have this device (the M1) and the newer M5. Living in a rural community, it was only last year when we finally had access to fiber Internet service. Prior to that, these boxes were a life saver. They were better than any of the Cable Internet or non-fiber Telecommunication services’ Internet. Sadly, even now, 5G at my residence is non-existent but the M5 still gave better connectivity than the LTE (M1) version, which was nothing the sneeze at. It was enough to provide our entire home with WiFi coverage (we have a 2 bedroom apartment) and let my wife browse on her phone and tablet, while I used it for my desktop for Internet gaming with enough throughput for games like Diablo 3 and World of Warships. Even after obtaining fiber Internet, I still have the M5 activated on my phone plan. It makes for a nice travel device, even if they’re a little pricey.
