(NEW) 10.2" iPad (2020, 8th Gen)

I think the 128 GB models with cellular might be a good deal, but the 32 GB WiFi model is grossly overpriced at $419.99. It was $329 originally, and you can still get a new(er) 9th generation with 64GB for $329. $419.99 is ridiculous; it should be closer to $200, $250 at most – maybe $219.99? And the pointless price of $599 is totally bogus – no one ever paid more than $329 for it.

Yah, $420 for a 32 GB iPad 8, even if “(NEW)”? Someone at Woot has been in the weed drawer too much.

It isn’t difficult to find the very latest mainstream iPad 9, with standard 64 GB of storage, the A13 vs A12 cpu and dramatically improved 12MP vs 1.2 MP front camera with the excellent Center Stage for video calls, for $260-290. (The iPad 10 is a hybrid iPad Air, with price biased to Air. Certainly not “mainstream”)

Three days later and people are buying these at these prices?

$420 Woot for iPad 8, 32 GB, vs original $329 MSRP… vs iPad 9, 64GB, street price $260-290, same $329 MSRP.

$530 Woot for iPad 8, 128 GB cellular vs original $559 MSRP… vs iPad 9 256GB cellular (128 not available) $609, or 64GB cellular MSRP $459.

iPad 8: 1.2 MP front video call camera, A12 cpu

iPad 9: starts with 64 GB storage, 12MP front video call camera, Center Stage that follows the subject, A13 cpu.

Unless you very specifically know you need more than 64 GB storage on an iPad, 64 GB is plenty for most users.

BTW, with the previous shortage of iPads, how did last gen 2020 brand new iPad 8’s show up at this point?
