Purchased this product to replace an old bluetooth speaker that died. Excited to get a brand name at a good price. The speaker sounds great. One BIG down side is that when it powers up it announces very LOUD that it is an “Altec Lansing” speaker. I wrote Altec Lansing and to their credit I got a prompt response. However you cannot cancel the announcement nor can you turn it down. The level of the announcement will be heard by anyone one within 25’. So don’t turn it on if you work around others. Otherwise the speaker is fine and worth the price.
I was sent a lifejacket 3 rather than a 2. Maybe that’s a good thing? I can’t find a useful side by side review.
Odd, should have been the Lifejacket 2. If you’re unhappy with it, reach out to Woot! Customer Service. To speed things up, let them know if you prefer a return/refund or a replacement (if possible).
