So while Woot’s shipping was relatively quick I just got this laptop brought by a friend.

Warranty is until August 2024, not from date of purchase… 8 months instead of 12… Is this normal??

Battery will not charge, took to Apple and they’ll be replacing the battery under warranty…

Another three weeks for Apple in Mexico to get the part. So no laptop for me yet!

Ask Apple about resetting the warranty. It’s pretty common. The purchase date is set first to the retailer and then to the consumer once registered.
